Adjusting to the Pandemic

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As we face the current uncertainty, problems, and restrictions in front of us today, it is difficult not to feel overwhelmed. Your Regional Committee wants to reassure every member of Subud California that we are family, especially now.

We want all of us to focus on staying close to our latihans (virtual or otherwise), doing all we can to stay well, and caring for one another in any way we can. Related to that, the Regional Committee and Helpers recommend that all Subud halls close, to both members and renters, as ordered by Governor Newsom.

While centers are temporarily closing their doors, each group can continue their regularly scheduled latihans via conference calls or just by doing the exercise at the appropriate time from your own homes. Also, members can join the Regional Helpers on conference call latihans, Saturdays at 10:30, as announced in this previous e-blast If this regional latihan time, unavoidably, conflicts with your local group time, members can choose one or the other.

If your group still needs conference call numbers, please have your Chairperson or other center committee member contact Elizabeth Trudell at ltrudell@netbox.com to set that up.

And, regarding the material world, many of us expect financial challenges ahead. We want you to know that the Regional Committee has been discussing ways to help our Subud Centers face these challenges. If any Centers are having trouble meeting their expenses, the Region remains here to assist.

Remember we are all in this pandemic together. Our Association is stronger because of each of you and we are all better together.

So God bless us all, stay healthy and connected.

With love,
your Regional Committee and Regional Helpers
