Helpers

Prayer for Peace

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Each Saturday morning following our regular regional latihan, we are offering 15 minutes to address peace in the world.

Women will start with a prayer from Bapak. Then we will ask to receive, if it be God’s will, how we may be the peace that the world needs now. Following this short latihan, we invite you, with us, to sit in our quiet for a few minutes, maintaining that feeling of peace.
Women: 605 313-4415 / code: 529243#

Men will pray in the manner that suits each person during the quiet before latihan, and have an additional 5 minutes after latihan for those who feel to pray more. The opportunity for testing is always available for those who wish.
Men: 425 436-6308 / code: 423735#

The Saturday regional latihan call-in latihan timing is 10:30 quiet, 10:45 latihan, followed by prayer and  latihan as noted above:

When we come together like this, our feeling of community strengthens. Sharing and caring can quieten our minds and open our hearts.

With love, the CA Regional Helpers:
Helena, Leanna, Sofia, Hani’a, and Isman

Regional Helpers Visit San Diego Center

by Helena Mertens, Subud CA Regional Helper

The drive Leanna and I made from our homes in the Sierra foothills to San Diego took ten hours — when GPS had calculated six hours! Safiah Dahda kindly welcomed us to her beautiful home, where we were made very comfortable for two days and had some delicious Indian home cooking! Thank you, Safiah!

When we arrived at the Subud House, I was stunned by the Subud House and grounds. Everything was beautiful and lovingly cared for, with handmade window boxes of gorgeous succulents, happy fig trees, flowering bushes, and a large tree shading the patio. Delightful!

Denise Jackson, a fairly new member to Subud, has taken over the design and upkeep of the Subud House and surrounding grounds, with help of other members participating in work parties to beautify and paint. Denise also takes care of their centerprise, renting out the Subud House when the group is not using the space. Thank you to Denise and all the members who help to make it such a special place.

Hani’a Abrams and Sofia Madden (a recent addition to our Regional Dewan) joined us for the weekend. There was harmony and community throughout the day. Latihan, a sharing circle, and test questions offered by members contributed to openness, trust, and grace as we received the blessing of the latihan.

We had a delicious lunch and plenty of time to be together, catching up with each other.

In my own experience, when we are able to attend Kedjiwaan gatherings it can be an opportunity to feel the latihan stronger and deeper within us. Thank you, Subud San Diego for a  really lovely weekend!

Love from us all
Helena, Leanna, Sofia and Hani’a

Kejiwaan Events in our Centers

from Leanna Harrison, Helena Mertens and Hani’a Abrams

Dear  Sisters and Brothers,
We three regional helpers would like to start planning kejiwaan visits to our California Subud groups in the coming year. A typical event could include latihan, testing (group and personal), a sharing circle, a talk by Bapak, eating together, schmoozing, etc. Would you like to have this kind of event at your Subud Center?

We could combine several groups together, if the centers are within driving distance, and also we could open each event to any of our brothers and sisters who would like to join us from other locations. While this letter is being sent to all our members, we anticipate that each center’s helpers and council member would help to organize these events.

As we all know, these times together help us to foster a deeper sense of what Subud means in our lives, and a greater sense of community. We are eager to start planning this for 2023 now, as we hope that Covid limitations will continue to wane.

Please let us know if there is interest in your group for this to happen.

With love,
Leanna, Helena and Hani’a

2022 Congress Reflections – Hani’a

By Hani’a Abrams, Regional Helper

I am grateful for our 2022 congress. My gratitude goes out to the congress committee. I witnessed that many members were satisfied with how the business of the congress went, and found the kejiwaan content valuable, so give thanks to my fellow regional helpers.

Going forward, there is a real need for members to offer themselves in service to the Subud California/Nevada Region. We have a need for male and female regional helpers, and for important regional and congress committee positions. Hani’a asks that you please take into quiet account this gift of the latihan from Almighty God. Is the latihan for ‘free’? Does this gift from God not require our service to one another and to all humanity?

Obligation can be felt as a heavy thing, yet in my personal experience when inspired from the God awakened jiwa, it is a gift. The latihan is to be ‘put into action’ in every aspect of our lives, so Hani’a asks that members consider from their awakened jiwa, not if, but when and how they can and will step up in service of meeting the needs of our membership and organizational structure regionally and locally.

Big thanks to those members who have and are shouldering the blessed burden, and to those who will lend their shoulders to the future.

Love to all!

2022 Congress Reflections – Helena

By Helena Mertens, Regional Helper

Into the quiet… deepening our surrender… living our guidance.

When we regional helpers were asked to receive the theme of the California Congress we came up with “deepening our surrender together.“ Since that became the theme of the Congress, Leanna and I decided to craft some testing around that. The resulting testing questions were:

1. What is the significance and benefit to getting quiet in my daily life and before my latihan?
2.  What does surrender mean to me as it refers to the latihan?
3.  When we stay in our quiet and deepen our surrender, how does that affect our ability to follow our guidance in our lives?

We offered this testing at the end of the latihan on Saturday morning during Congress. When the third question was asked my receiving was very strong and immediate: “Yes, Helena, that’s what it’s all about!” “ Do it!” Receiving it so clearly and in my face, it felt possible!

I was very grateful and happy to be able to be with my sisters in latihan, receiving together in person. It was delightful working with Leanna and all the other team members. At one point, Rifka commented to all of us, “Harmony is efficient!” That is so true!

Going forward, we are looking for another Regional Helper woman and perhaps two more Regional Helper men. Let us know if you are interested in being part of this Dewan, part of the future of Subud California in a very active way.

And a reminder to all Subud sisters, we continue to offer a Saturday Regional Latihan on the second, third and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10:30 AM, 10:15 quiet. We also offer testing immediately after the latihan on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month if you wish to participate.

And, look for “The Helper Handbook Monthly Meeting” where we’ll go through the book so we can understand more completely Bapak’s guidelines for us. We will be offering that very soon to any members who wish to join us.

With love and gratitude to all!

2022 Congress Reflections – Leanna

Leanna Harrison, Regional Helper

After finishing my sushi, avocado feta tartines, and a guilty sliver of chocolate mousse pie, I walk back beside long-known friends for another precious Latihan. Later, as sisters begin to gather for testing, I grab the iPad full of female faces and slink off to a designated Testing Room. One person suggests going off the rail, “Let’s test something other than Awareness.” “OK.” I respond, “Let’s customize together.”

Quickly, deep questions are formed: How do I live and understand my aging process? How would God have it be? What is the purpose of my life in accordance with God‘s will? What steps can I take to achieve God‘s purpose? We discuss, sit quiet, and up arises “What keeps me from openly sharing the importance and meaning of Subud with other people?” It feels this session was just what we all needed.

Another day, as we begin testing about harmony, many sharing their individual receiving on a microphone, we bring the face of each speaker to the virtual members by passing the crowded iPad screen between us. It kinda worked! Rest assured next hybrid Congress, virtual members will join our circle on a large, full screen feeling a part and sharing their ideas more easily. Thank you’s to those so willing to be the first digital devotees.

Again we send out our request for perhaps you to join our Regional Helper team. It can begin simply by testing in your own bedroom “What is my willingness to serve Subud?” As Hani’a asked us all, “…not if, but when…” For me, working with dear Helena and wise Hani’a has been a sweet gift in both my life and my worship. Who knew?

For the election of the new committee, once again we were able to witness one gift we all possess…testing. The perfect duo was chosen after receiving both strengths and weaknesses in their vibrant yet challenging position. I learned to always be honest in my receiving and sometimes, if reluctant to share, ask for the correct words to express it. We would like to welcome Hanafi and Levana Fraval as Chair and Vice Chair of our region! I look forward to our dynamic future together as Subud.

Sending love and thanks to all.

Changes to Regional Weekly call-in latihan

Subud California’s women regional helpers have announced that their weekly call-in latihans will continue but with this change: on the first Saturday of each month, the regional helpers will join the national helper latihan at 1pm PT, instead of hosting a regional call-in latihan at 10:30 am PT. Members in the Region are welcomed to join the national helpers latihan on the first Saturday, as well.

Note: Subud USA sends a message specifying the NH hosts and latihan phone numbers to be used each month.

Working toward Harmony

a message from the regional helpers

Dear Sisters and Brothers
We regional helpers are planning two kejiwaan events, the first as a Zoom meeting and the second together in-person (the latter as soon as the COVID situation makes it possible for us to come together safely).

In our role as regional helpers, we have been asked several times to help resolve difficulties in our local centers and between members. Subud is no different from the world at large in our challenges with relationships, working together, and understanding each other. The difference is that we can ask for guidance through our latihan.

The first meeting via Zoom is for our center helpers. Along with other issues, we plan to do testing on the subject of harmony where test questions can be suggested, and we can receive together and have dialogue. We will keep you posted as to when this will happen.

The second, in-person kejiwaan event is for all our members. We want to include the same issue, harmony, as we test together for guidance. We hope this might happen in the early springtime.

Meanwhile, we are continuing with our regional latihans on Saturday mornings. We open the call at 10:15, quiet time is at 10:30, latihan begins at 10:45 and another quiet after the latihan from 11:15 to 11:30, if you wish to stay on. On the first Saturday of each month we offer testing after the latihan.

The conference call number for women is 1-605-313-4415, meeting id 529243#. The conference call number for men is 1-515-604-9515, meeting id 194341#

Love to you all; may you stay safe and be well,
Hani’a, Rasjidah, Leanna, Harlan and Helena

Meet Leanna Harrison

Leanna Harrison recently became one of our regional helpers, taking on the role so capably handled by Renata Reid for the last 3 years. Leanna shares some details about her life in Subud here:

Thank you for this opportunity to work as your new regional helper. I have known many Subud members for years, but feel a short intro would be helpful.

I was opened in Arcata, CA at the age of 24 and chose to be quickly and deeply involved in Subud soon after, living in the central London Subud house followed by a year in Cilandak. It was at a magic time when Bapak would give spontaneous talks and meet us on the veranda for Selamatans.

In Cilandak at 26, I gained my new Subud name of Leanna (from Sandy). Each day I’d ask to be shown my “right work,” while Halimah Polk and then Fatifah Clark would knock at my door and ask me to please substitute teach for them.  Finally, I realized I WAS being shown my right work and later I returned to America to pursue a 26 year ESL teaching career!

I’ve been an active Subud member ever since, attending four World Congresses and doing latihan in many countries throughout my travels, with the most unique being in Calabar, Nigeria.

I currently live in central California near Yosemite National Park, and enjoy creating one-of-a-kind art objects using my ceramic wheel and kiln. I have been hosting CalChat Zoom sessions for the past year and a half and look forward to getting to know many members more deeply through my new Regional Helper position. Again, thank you for allowing me to serve as your R.H.

Love to you,

Leanna Harrison

Report on state of the latihan

Following opening prayers, our regional helpers offered this report on general state of latihan in the Region.

Rasjidah Franklin noted that Saturday call-in latihans continue with a fairly constant attendance of 12-16 women and 2-4 men. The women express desire to have these continue indefinitely and report it being especially deep and strong.  Some members attend other call-in latihans from local groups, and of course many members now do latihans at their local centers.  Approximately 50 members attended the latihan in Marin on the day celebrating Isaac’s passing.

Helena Mertens added that when they first began their term as regional helpers, nobody showed up for the call in regional latihan, so it was discontinued. But, when the pandemic appeared, we regularly had between 30 and 40 people attending. There was a wonderful feeling of strength, support and community and how important it was for all of us to stay constant in our latihan even though we could not attend In person with our groups. When we have done testing with our regional members on our call in latihan, it is very reassuring and lovely to hear what our sisters receive and how meaningful it is. This receiving to me  is a confirmation that our latihan is developing and growing.

Hani’a Abrams reviewed visits with groups during the Covid shut down. Virtual meetings were held with the Santa Cruz and with Sacramento groups, and when things opened up for in person meetings, a men’s kejiwaan day was held in Marin, which men from Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Berkeley, and Marin attended along with regional helper Hani’a and international helper, Benedict Herrman.

Rasjidah noted other regional helper activities throughout the year including regular monthly latihans with the Regional Committee, quarterly latihans with the Regional Council, weekly meetings of women RH’s and monthly meetings of RH Dewan.  The RH’s also participate in national latihans and have frequent communication with the national helpers.

Renata closed the report with thoughts in light of the changes related to the pandemic that are happening in groups all over the region. The regional helpers would like to encourage everyone to have patience as we re-enter our centers and to work with a feeling of cooperation and respect for one another. We pray that we can feel our strength and our long standing commitment to our practice and to our brothers and sisters. May this feeling extend out into the whole Subud community.

Opening Prayers at 2021 Regional Congress

Our regional helpers opened Annual General Meeting on Saturday, August 7 with heartfelt prayers.

Helena Mertens:

Almighty God, in this time of change and evolution, help us to stay close to you, opening to your grace and guidance as we practice our faith and trust in you. Help us to recognize this moment as a time of opportunity to become even closer to your grace and guidance, and discover within us the potential that God has placed there: kindness and compassion, cooperation and creativity, the capacity to be courageous, calm and open when we face our challenges, and always grateful for the latihan that you have given us to help guide us in this life and the next.

Harlan Gleeson

Dear God- We humbly pray for the continued health of Subud in our region and world wide.  We pray for your love and compassion to work through us in service to our community.  We pray for our inner expansion to continue both individually and collectively.  We ask that the power and miracle of the latihan work in each and every one of us to enable us to truly live in harmony with your will.  Finally, we ask for your love and guidance in our effort to set our own will aside and surrender as best we can to your will full of love and grace. For these and all of thy blessings we pray.

Hani’a Abrams:

I pray that members who have seemingly irreconcilable issues with one another are soon reconciled by hearts awakened and enjoined to the unity that is our true humanity. And, in love’s courage, find themselves rushing to ask and give forgiveness, and by such noble action are a guiding light for others when they experience the inevitable challenge of the seemingly inexorable forces that tempt us to find naught but fault in the one with whom we disagree.

Rasjidah Franklin:

May we be brought together as one, asking for God’s forgiveness for our shortcomings and praying for God’s blessings for ourselves, for this earth and for all God’s creatures thereon. Amen.

Meet Daniel Jackson

We welcome Daniel as a new regional helper for Subud California:

Growing up in England to active Subud parents meant that I was always around the Subud community as far back as I can remember. My father served as a National Helper in England and my mother served as International Helper. I remember being at Anugraha during the construction, then for Congress; going to

villa Rahayu where Bapak stayed when visiting England, and riding in the back of a pristine black Jaguar Bapak would use when visiting.

In 1981, my parents became the caretakers of Loudwater Farm. I spent my teenage years floating down the river, climbing the trees in the orchid and going to school in nearby Rickmansworth. When Mas Adji suggested renting a giant inflatable airplane hanger to use as a Latihan hall in the field next door, my brother and I couldn’t resist climbing to the top! Memories of weekend gatherings and Latihan noises throughout the week.

I was opened there in 1988, now 33 years ago. Spending much of my life on the move, between travels, work, and visiting, I have been fortunate to visit many Subud groups around the world including Loudwater, central London, Leicester, Bristol, Paris, Mayenne, Vancouver, and Atlanta. I remember well World Congress in Spokane and most recently in Freiburg. I have been a group Helper in Los Angeles, which is my current local group.

One unusual fact about me, my work was as a professional yacht captain traveling around the world, and I currently own and live on a sailing yacht.

Message from the Chair

By Luqman Katz, Chair, Subud California

A  LETTER TO YOU THE 456 (CA Membership)

Good Morning, Subud CA.  Occasional and active members, you are all appreciated and loved.

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of our Centers reopening for in-person latihans, slowly and carefully! The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. This is great and welcome news.

Talking about welcome news, I would like to introduce you to two members who are joining our CA Dewan. Christian Stepien is taking over the position of Vice Chair. He is replacing Raphaela who has stepped down….Thank you, Raphaela, for your work as our Vice Chair.

Daniel Jackson will be replacing the departing Owen as one of our three men Regional Helpers.  Owen will be hard to replace, but Daniel is up to the task….Thank you, Owen, for always being there for us.

In addition, Subud CA at Santa Cruz has elected Ralph Davila as their Regional Councilor.  Ralph is also a member of the SICA-USA board and brings many years of experience to the Council.  As we move closer toward a pandemic free life, we have a full Regional Council.

Thank you, Christian, Daniel, and Ralph!  We are blessed to have these willing and very capable members step forward in service to Subud CA.

Thank you everyone and see you all at the 2021 Regional Congress 2021 on Aug. 6-8th. All the best to each of you,

Luqman and the Gang

A message from the Regional Helpers

In these days of the pandemic and social isolation, it seems more important than ever that we reach out to each other, albeit remotely, to build and solidify our inner community. Each Saturday we have a regional latihan and testing which is a chance to share our inward connection to God. Please join us for that and know that there are other opportunities to connect with each other as well, such as CalChats and various call in and zoom latihans hosted by local groups.

As Bapak often reminded us, we Subud members are one, a great family, and we will know each other in the next life.  Our shared latihans, including those shared remotely and virtually, are both a help in this life and a preparation for the life to come. Through the latihan, we come to know each other in a new and deeper way, an inner way.  Let us look upon this time as an opportunity for this deeper, inner connection with Almighty God and one another.

With gratitude in our hearts, we give thanks for the gift of the latihan and pray that Almighty God guides us throughout this life so that we may each find our right place in the next life. We wish each of you and all of your family a happy and safe holiday season and look forward to being together again soon.

Rasjidah, Renata, Helena, Hani’a, Owen, Harlan

2020 Annual General Meeting Report

Thanks to Almighty God, and the work of a dedicated team of volunteers, Subud California hosted the first “virtual” regional gathering, attended via Zoom and conference call by over 215 brothers and sisters. Our Regional Helpers received the theme “Inner Peace and Outer Joy” last year, and how appropriate it is for our situation now!

The Annual General Meeting chair, Rifka Several, opened with words from Ibu Rahayu regarding the pandemic:

“Never put aside the power of God which is in each one of you. In truth, God loves all creatures, and will always protect, lead, and guide each one of you. Therefore, strengthen your worship of Almighty God. May God be just and loving”.

Our regional helpers provided their own prayers for us, our Gathering, and our Region:

“As we begin this time together, let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God, through which we find our inner peace and outer joy.

Almighty God, may we bring the fruits of our latihan into our daily lives so we may discover and know and live in our own unique potential guided by the power of God.  Please help us to grow in compassion, courage and commitment to be the person God created us to be.

May we each find in our hearts the understanding of the important things in life. May we feel compassion and empathy for those who are suffering and for those who are less fortunate. May we show kindness to our brothers and sisters, may we show tolerance for those we do not understand. May we have courage! Courage to use our voice when something must be said and courage to follow our guidance to the best of our ability, with faith and trust that our guidance is true and benefits not only ourselves but also those around us. May the latihan guide us and may we continually ask, “Is this the life that God has given me?

May God continue to bless all of our Subud Brothers and Sisters, and may our latihan continue to reveal God’s magnificence and glory.  May we all be full of love and good will towards each other and show all of humanity the results of our Latihan and our sincere surrender to the will of God.”

Regional Helper (RH) Report (see full report here):

According to the Subud USA census, Subud California has 543 members, 74 active helpers and 14 groups. When the RHs surveyed the groups, fewer than 543 are able to connect weekly with latihan.

The RHs made center visits prior to the pandemic to centers in San Diego, San Joaquin Valley and Santa Cruz.

The Region has expressed appreciation that regional latihans via conference call were quickly set up for Saturday mornings, usually followed by group test questions. Some local groups also have conference call latihans. The RHs are meeting virtually with candidate members and helpers. A greater outreach is being done to members not connected to a group, working with regional member council representative Rohana LoSchiavo.

Regional Chair Report. Luqman Katz, expressed his hope that we would be able to meet together in person soon. He thanked the membership for being able to serve for the past year, quoting Bapak that “service is not for the benefit of Subud, but for the benefit of you yourselves.” There are several service opportunities in Subud California: members are needed for the Property Management, Congress Development, and Community Resources committees.

Luqman outlined the quick action the regional committee had to take after the Covid-19 regulations went into place: the centers who have properties had to close them to renters and latihan attendance, and centers who rented facilities were not able to attend in-person latihans. After collaboration with our insurance company, center reopening protocols were developed and an attendance liability waiver form distributed.

Executive Director Report. Henrietta Haines, has focused on how to support the eight groups with properties and all members in the region. For protection with our insurance, it is important for members to follow the state and county guidelines and complete the required liability waivers.

Zone 7 Report Uraidah Hassani, reported with a PowerPoint presentation (view full report). Zone 7 comprises Canada, Mexico, USA, Cuba and Suriname and has 2000 members, 495 helpers, 23 properties and 46 rental spaces. She shared that the World Subud Association’s current topics are:

  • Financial stability for Subud
  • Wings being more active and connected
  • Permanent locations for the Archives
  • Support for Subud Cuba
  • Increased youth involvement

Please see the presentation for more details, including a full description of the World Subud Association organizational structure and aims, current projects, and the 2020 budget.

National Helper liaison Reports – Michal Brownell, Benjamin Boyce, and Sofia Nicoletti attended the Gathering and reported on their activities, much changed since the pandemic. They offer monthly conference call national latihans and support regions, the wings, and Subud USA. They have streamlined the National Care Support Program offering emergency financial assistance to members (applications and donations can be made at info@subudusa.org).

Subud USA Reports – Lucas Boladian, Subud USA Chair, and Philip Lindstrom, Vice-Chair, attended and reported. National donations continue to support Subud USA, and we are able to continue our Zone 7 and World Subud Association pledges. The new Subud USA directory is available electronically or in print. The Tucson, AZ Archives are moving to the National Office in Beltsville, MD. Subud USA also oversees Elderberry, a project to support and connect with older Subud members. A virtual national Annual General Meeting is planned for early November.

REGIONAL COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Financial Report (Hasan MacNeil, Regional Treasurer): The loss of rental income affected centers’ ability to repay their regional loans. These are being suspended where necessary, and in some cases, centers receive a $5000 regional “Covid-19 Emergency Loan” to cover expenses. The Region is here to help.

Property Management Committee (Denise Jackson): She is a “committee of one” and asks additional members to join who have experience in buildings and property management. (See Center property reports here). A lot of repairs and deferred maintenance was accomplished prior to the Covid-19 closures.

Community Resources Committee (Elizabeth Trudell, Henry Couden, and Halimah Collingwood): This very active committee would like additional members interested in writing, editing and websites, as they oversee:

  • Regional e-newsletter
  • Regional email contacts
  • Subud CA document archives
  • Regional website

The Committee has secured DocuSign to obtain electronic document signatures for the required liability waivers.  Invitations to sign electronically will be sent in September. Future projects include curating the Subud CA archives and revising the Center Handbooks, as resource permit. (Click here for the Community Resources Committee presentation.)

Congress Development Committee (Dennis Oliver, Chair): This experiment in holding a “virtual” Subud event has gone well in terms of planning and presentation. While we had planned to meet this month at UC Santa Barbara, this has been deferred until at least 2021. Given the plusses of not having to travel and allowing wider member attendance, we will aim to plan for more virtual events even when restrictions are lifted.

Subud California at Los Angeles invites all Subud Members to a kejiwaan day, with the California regional helpers. Please RSVP on the form provided HERE

DATE: MARCH 28, 2020
WHERE: At Subud California Wilshire Center, 5828 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036

We will have two large latihan halls available all day and evening. In addition, we have several small rooms which will be available for break out latihans and testing. The regional helpers are preparing a program of latihan and testing based on their testing on needs of our California region at this time.

Outline of Schedule

9:30 – 10:30 – Coffee and bagels or pastry in the cafeteria for those who wish to arrive early to meet and greet.
10:30-11:30 – Latihan in the Women’s and Men’s halls. Testing with the regional helpers will immediately follow the latihan.
12:30 – Lunch will be provided (for a donation to cover food costs) in the comfortable cafeteria overlooking Hollywood and the La Brea Tar Pits.
1:30 – Latihan, testing, small groups, and discussions continue after lunch.
5:00 – Finish daytime program. For those staying into the evening, there are many and various cafes nearby for dinner. After the dinner break, we will have a Bapak video, followed up with more testing.

The cafeteria will be open all day and evening for conversation and reunions, with coffee and tea for breaks. Meeting facilities and cafeteria are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is an elevator!

Accommodation will be left to each of you to arrange (see notes below).

We ask that you please RSVP on the form provided HERE so that we can plan for lunch and also have emergency contacts for everyone. If the link does not work, please paste the following into your browser address bar: https://forms.gle/FGguvqEjA5eh4bNp6

We look forward to this day of latihan and testing together.

With love to all,
The Committee and Helpers of Subud California at Los Angeles and your California Regional Helpers

ACCOMMODATION NOTES:

In the past, people have stayed with the following two hotels. The Wilshire Crest used to give a discount to Subud members but it has been a while! See:

We have also heard that people have had good luck with accommodation in the area from Airbnb and similar services.
