Center Life and Events

  • The patio overhang on the duplex was completely rebuilt due to dry rot.
  • We are sending a donation to the Emmanuel AME church in S.C. from personal donations from the members.
  •  We are currently researching a possible site in Sacramento for the next Regional Congress.
  •  Meldan Heaslip, Regional Helper, paid us an unexpected and welcome visit this month.
  • We replaced for toilets with low flow units.  Water use at the center for the past two months has dropped by over 50% compared to last year.   In addition, our water provider reimbursed us for the entire cost of the toilets.

Financial Summary:

The main facility continues to be leased for a Montessori school. The tenant is doing well and has a very good relationship with the group. A new one-year lease has just been signed continuing the previous lease terms.

Both units of the duplex remain occupied and rents are current.

A slightly larger number of repairs to the main building have been needed very recently, but all of these have been handled within the center’s normal operating budget.
